Polly and Pip part 2

Here are a couple more from Polly and Pip, this time i am introducing you to Polly'big day, Polly the hippy and Polly the cowgirl. I'd like to give a big Thanks to Ali and Paul of Stamps Away for taking me on board as a designer of Polly and Pip.

Meet Polly and Pip

Photobucket

Here the news you have all been waiting for, i am the designer of a new collection of acrylic stamps called Polly and Pip, these stamps are made by Stamps Away and are available from good stockists, they look fantastic on the website and look even better adorning a card or craft project and the even better part is they only 3.25 each, now that's value for money.
You'll never believe how excited i was when i was asked if i would design a range of stamps, i was jumping around the room like a lunatic it all happened so fast. There are 12 Polly and Pips on the website at the moment and more are in line waiting to be turned into acrylic cuteness.
Keep checking in as there is also more news on the horizon.
I will leave you with a card using Pip the Chef.

Loving My Circles

I received my circle nestabilities last week from here and ive been going circle mad ever since as you ca see from my 2 cards above.

The Tilda card was made using the largest circle then i cut out 6 medium circles and placed them to make a large flower. Embossed and coloured with chalks, tilda was coloured with WHSmiths watercolour pencils.

supplies: DCWV card stock (brights), SU chalks, Cuttlebug paisley embossing folder, ice stickles, butterfly (fly) stickers, and various ribbons.

The butterfly card.

I used a template for the butterfly from papercraft inspirations, chalked the edges then dotted stickles all over, i used various sized nestablilities circles and covered them with stickles or a butterfly (fly) sticker and added faux stiching.

Now ready for a rant, i went to the dentist on Friday and ended up having to have a large filling which was a shock but not as much shock as the bill, 44.60. That was the end of my stash shopping i had planned for the weekend.

Its DS 13th birthday tomorrow so we will be busy shopping with him all day he is after a new phone which we are buying him but then he will have lots of birthday money too so i can see it will be a long haul day.

Wallet card

After reading Tracy's blog last night i was stunned to see a wallet card that she had made, i knew it would be perfect for Fathers Day, so i could include gift vouchers, IOU for various treats etc. Tracys blog links to the papertrey ink blog, i have bought a few sets of these stamps and often broused the blog, i think from now on i should browse more often as there are some fantastic ideas on there. If you look to the left hand side of this blog you will see wallet card, clicking on this will lead you to the instructions.

This wallet card i have made for my Cousins Son, he is 14 so a lot of things are not cool at that age but im sure this will be a hit especially as there is money inside.

Thanks to everyone visiting my blog and leaving a comment its much appreciated.

Cards, Cards and more cards

Above are some cards ive made over the weekend
I also volunteered to make my cousins birth announcement / thankyou cards and im all crafted out (LOL) i had to make 25 so i made them nice but simple, as you can see, i have used the cuttlebug to emboss its a boy and then i glittered it and added the thank you sentiment.
Photobucket
i also had another 3 commissions to make all this weekend, as well as make cards to top up the boxes i keep at work and in another place.

Photobucket

I do however love doing the cute die cut cards they are so quick and simple yet the finished card looks brill, as you can see from the cute little duck card, i have used my Nestabilities to cut out a circle in the centre of the card then cut out a blue frame again using 2 sizes of the nestabilities to create the frame, i added a little chalk and painted highlights to the duck then placed him over the frame, after this i surrounded the frame with assorted buttons and finished off all over with ice stickles.

Its A Boy!

My cousin had a little boy on Saturday, so all weekend I've been busy making a mini book and cards. I went to the hospital on Saturday and Sunday to see the proud mam and dad with baby Dylan, he is so gorgeous, of course i went armed with my camera got lots of lovely pics, but ill not share here until i get permission off his mam. Today i presented them with a mini book filled with pics they were delighted, whilst i was visiting i even got a commission for a mini book from one of her other friends who was also there visiting.

I will share a few of the cards have have made over the weekend, needless to say a lot of them are boy related.

I hope to have a longer post tomorrow just at the moment i feel very tired and a little icky, hope I'm not coming down with something as that will prevent me visiting the new baby for a few days.

Teddy bears

I have been admiring some of the cute cards on UK Scrappers using paper piecing and die cuts so decided to have a go myself, instead of limiting myself to just one die i bought a selection of teddy bear die cuts from seller off ebay here i cant believe the value for money they were, as you can see from my cards the teddies are so cute in the pack there were about 8 different posed teddies, they do of course come blank ready for you to embellish. Expect to see a lot more cutie cards from me because i had so much fun doing these cards.

I have really enjoyed my day off today the sun was shining so me and Martin went for a walk around town, as it was so hot i didnt want to cook so i made a picnic tea, Martin said we would of had a BBQ if he didnt have to work tonight, (never mind hopefully the sun will still be shining when he is off on friday night)
Heres another card i made using my new stamps happen stamp, i can see lots of fathers day cards been made with this one!

more cards

as promised here are some more of my cards
first one using my favourite bella stamp
the cherry one is a slight variation on the cherry card i made the other day, i normally make 6" x 8" but this is 4" x 6" and i think i may make this size more often, very fun and fast.
the last is one of my new house mouse stamps, again made using the smaller size card.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Ive had a busy weekend and today was no different, we wanted some plants for our hanging baskets so Mam and Dad asked if we would like a run to B&Q, we said yes, big mistake BIG BIG mistake, the bank holiday traffic was horrendous, once we got to the industrial estate it took us 15 minutes in traffic just to get into B&Q, but on the good side we got some bargains while we were there. They are remodeling the store so there were lots of reductions in a clearance section and what made it better there was a guy telling everyone if there was something you wanted he could reduce it even further for you, i ended up with a 40.00 pair of curtains for Ashleigh's bedroom for 3.00 and some butterfly decorations that should of been 10.00 for 2.00(sorry my pound sign isn't working) we also got the plants that we went for.

Ive also been making cards like there is no tomorrow, I had a few orders to complete but then i have cards in another outlet and the girl rang to say they had been selling like hotcakes and have i got anymore ready so I've had a marathon card making session. i will have to post them bit by bit as blogger will probably crash if i try to upload them all together. Let me know if you want any details of the card supplies used.

All Things Nautical

Today I've been playing with some new stamps and the theme is Nautical. As Fathers Day is slowly creeping up on us i decided to make a start on them as these stamps are perfect for the occasion. the stamps are a mixture of stamping up and stamps happen, i had real fun colouring them. I seem to be doing a lot of male cards lately, something that until recently i didn't make a lot of, if ever i had a commission to make a male card i always struggled i guess its because i didn't have the appropriate stash, but now i have plenty.

I also had a commission for a gran card the spec was favourite colour red and she grows fruit trees so i had this stamp that i have never used before (i knew it would come in handy) i think its turned out ok, the cherries in the corner are hand drawn and paper pieced.

I will be back with more cards tomorrow as i need to wait until better light to take pics.
