Make a wish

I made this card a few nights ago, i was sat in my craft room with music pumping through my headphones wondering what i could do, my mojo was lost!  but with the help of the music and a few sheets of websters pages my mojo curse was broken.
Ive used websters icons and graphic 45 papers ive also used liquid pearls to add swirls to the background.
Theres nothing like music being good for the soul, a great pic me up, with a few favourite tunes you can tackle everything (including finding the elusive craft mojo)

UP, UP and Away

Wow I can’t believe splodgeAway is now into its 4th week, I hope you’re enjoying your weekly creativity, I love seeing everyone’s different takes on the SplodgeAway products. This week I’m using the Balloon and cogs mask.

I started by taking a piece of SplodgeAway easy ink card and placed the balloon mask on top , using tattered rose distress ink I blended ink over the top of the card, and removed the mask. Next place a random selection of the cogs around the edge and use black soot over the top and remove the mask. Then I randomly stamped a small clock image around the edge. I tore the bottom edge of the card and used a distress tool to distress all 4 sides of the card. Using black soot ink I then blended it around all 4 sides and along the torn edge, this gave it an aged effect.

Then came the card assembly taking an A5 card I used a matt of peach card and then a piece of Webster’s pages in the bottom corner, using a strong glue I adhered the balloon piece on top and peeled back the top corner, using glossy accents I covered the cogs and outlined the balloon the sprinkles a little black glitter over it, then everything was edged in black stickles, I was trying to create an image of peeling wall paper, the idea I had in my head was a very old building being redecorated and as you peel away the layers you have different generations of memories. I love this mask it is by far my favourite up to now.

And just because i do love this mask i made another card this time using websters pages and a crafty individuals stamp.

Make sure to stop by the SplodgeAway blog and see what else the design team have been up to.

A Mammoth Task

Whoa......... where did the time go?
I cant believe how little I've blogged the last couple of weeks, the reason behind that is I've had a lot going on, I've been teaching a class at suzicraft so i had some prep to do, and this Saturday i have a demo day at suzicraft so again i have been prepping for that too. Also some of you may be aware splodgeAway could quite possibly coming to a certain crafting TV channel!!!!!! so I've been doing a little behind the scenes work making card samples, of course i can't show those on my blog so whilst my blog has been quiet i have been the very opposite.

Today i had an earlier than expected finish from work so i took the mammoth task of tidying my craft area, Boy that was some task and it took a while, but on the plus side because it was all tidy it made me want to craft, as its my mam and dads anniversary tomorrow i thought id better get a start and make their card.
I used some gorgeous websters pages and lots of matting and layering later i produced this lovely card.

Because the papers are so beautiful you don't need much else to create a gorgeous card in no time, the only other thing I've used id a little lace, bazzill cardstock, liquid pearls, heart pearls and stickles.
