Easter time

Im still feeling unwell but i couldnt resist using my new goodies.
As Easter is almost upon us and I wanted to make a cute card because I had some lovely Easter papers that were in the first edition spring drop pad, I used magnolia stamps and coloured them in promarkers. I saw a fellow blogger the lovely karen using cloud die cuts on her card and it looked lovely so i decided to give it a go unfortunately I don't have that die so I hand cut mine. I inked the edges with stampin up ink pads, then edged everything in stardust stickles. All of the embellishments including the pearl trim are from wild orchid crafts.
Im entering this in the following challenges
Cute card Thursday - Easter
Simon says stamp - anything goes
I love Promarkers - bead it

Feeling sorry for myself

Why is it when you've got so many things to do you never get round to doing them. I'm full of cold and although I've never suffered with hay fever i fear it may be starting, I've got pain in my nose and my eyes and nose are streaming so much you'd think I was crying eyes out. Being a woman though we just get on with it, I'm still going to work but don't feel up to doing much else, that was until today!
I received some parcels from the postman a lovely delivery from wild orchid crafts and some eBay parcels, I'm also waiting on some lush ribbons and my lili of the valley stamps, I'm going to wait until tea is out of the way then I'm going to get started on this new stash, here's a peek of a few of my new deliveries, I'm just loving the new cameos, in fact I love them so much I've ordered 300 from china so I will be sharing a few of them when they arrive just drop me a line and when they arrive I'll send some to you.

stepper card

Another bright card today again this is using one of my new stamps, i really do need some new flowers as im slowly running out so ive use dread on this card because i didnt have any yellow/orange left i know i could of stained them but my mind wasnt 100% on the job, ill tell you more about that another time.
The images are cupcake kids by splodge away, available from suzicraft soon. Ive coloured them with both promarkers and distress inks, the stepper card is handmade just folded from a 5 x 7 card blank. ive used some really old basic grey papers, the sentiment is stampin' up the flourish was cut on the cricut.
Im sure i said i wasnt too fussed on orange and purple, then why is it ive made a glutton of orange cards lately???
Note to oneself i must not use orange for the next card

Although the sun has been shining today i havnt been sat out in it, im not one to really like sitting in the sun, give me a pool to lay in and im happy, but just sitting!!! (no thanks, id rather sit inside, am i strange?) That might explain why im a lighter shade of Pale.

spring has sprung

here is another of yesterdays makes, i was inspired by the gorgeous spring weather we are having, all the daffs are fully in bloom and the gardens are a sea of yellow, so i chose to transfer that to my card.

Ive used a lili of the valley stamp coloured with distress inks and edged with distress inks and stickles. the flowers are WOC the leave ribbon was from an old kit, papers are we are memory keepers, websters pages and first edition.

burnt out

I'm so sorry for not having any updates for you, just letting you know im still around lol, i think ive burnt the candle at both ends a little too often over the last week or so, i felt burnt out i havnt had any energy to do a thing, ive had a couple of days off work to recharge my batteries but not produced much craftyness although i have been on a crafty shopping spree, i visited suzicrafts and bought a few staples card blanks, card stock and stickles. i also went to hobbycraft (usually overpriced) and got a few bargains, flowers, adhesive and promarkers. Then ive had an online shop of card boxes, seam bindings, adhesive and stamps (please dont let the bank manager see this!)
with any luck after ive done lunch tomorrow im going to play in my crafty cubbyhole all afternoon and evening, fingers crossed ill have something to share x

lots of sparkle

I had a request for a large easel christening card, with only one days notice so i used my trusty LOTV image as i didnt have time to search through stamps for an alternative image. i worked on it until almost 11.00pm (and i had an early start at work the next morning) but it was all worth it when i was well received, i took the photos last night when i had finished as i didnt have time to wait until daylight, you always get a better sparkle at night but lots of shadows, during the day you get a crisp image but loose the sparkle. The picture was taken on the iPhone so its captured the sparkle but the image isnt as good quality as i prefer.

The papers are by first edition and have been distressed with walnut stain then edged in gold stickles, the image was coloured with distress inks, i will link it with some challenges when ive had a browse to see where it will fit.

Im linking it to Simon says stamp bit o green

Crazy for challenges - green
Im not sure ill have a card for to show you tomorrow as ive got an early start again in the morning so i may have an early night so that means no crafting :(

Next week there are some new release stamps at Lili of the valley so i had better save some of my pennies so i dont miss out on them

ship ahoy

I think im now on a roll with my magnolias, its like buses none for ages then they all come at once!

Coloured with distress inks using the new splodge away mat, every layer has been stickled and edges distressed with walnut stain, apart from the bazzill the only patterned paper ive used is a cloud one by WMK. the mesh is again from the pack mentioned in Saturdays post (from suzicraft) all the embellishments are cut from the cricut dress up dolls cartridge.
Sorry about the poor pic it was taken on my iphone.

Im entering this in just magnolia challenge - green
The shabby tea room - flags, ive been inspired by the colours duck egg blue/green and ive included a flag

Not too sure

Yesterday I was pottering in my craft room I started pushing bits of paper around on a card but nothing was coming too me, it just didn't look right so after 20 minutes of staring at it bingo it hit me, the problem was the size of the base card, I changed it from a 5 x 7 to a 6 x 6 then it all just fell into place. I think I over did it on the strong colour for the background , next time I use black soot I will make sure it's more subtle, I think it's all came together pretty well to think at the beginning I was going to give up. The moral of this story is if in doubt change the size lol
Im enetering this into the wild orchid crafts challenge - Bingo, ive used gems, flowers ribbon/lace

Today i was working a short early shift at work 7 till 11 so when i came home i had my cuppa, some lunch and quick chat with martin before he went and got some shut eye (he works nights). I then had the whole afternoon to craft as i didn't even have to go and pick up sam from school.

I decided to make an easel card using a magnolia image tilda with parasol, ive coloured her with a mix of promarkers and distress inks ive also edged everything in a mix of brushed corduroy, tattered rose and walnut stain flowers and also prima chiffon flowers, the centre of the flower is actually a snowflake button from dress it up, the leaves, corners and butterfly were cut on the cricut, the greeting wqs generated on the computer and everything is edged with a sparkle of stickles. House Mouse

My house mouse stamps have been very neglected of late, so ive dug one out for this mothers day card, i love house mouse and have done since i first started crafting, they were hard to come by in the uk so i remember spending a small fortune ordering them from house mouse in America, unfortunately i gave up crafting for a couple of years and sold almost all of my stamps but im in the process of building them back up again.

Ive coloured it with promarkers and distressed with tattered rose ink, the papers are websters pages, again from the freebie with the magazine, hand rolled flowers and seam binding which ive pleated along the bottom, everything is edged with stardust stickles.

Mother's Day

one of the many cards ive made for mother's day, this one has a vintage feel to it, ive used a LOTV stamp and this time ive stamped it in memento London fog as i wanted a more softer outline rather than the harsh black, i coloured it with my trusty promarkers and edged everything in distress inks walnut stain and stickles, the leaves were a negative from some leaves id cut from the cricut and i simply put patterned paper behind it, its a good use for something i would of thrown away. The patterned papers are websters pages, as are the handmade flowers.

Photobucket

Im entering this into the following challenges
make it mondays -anything goes

Papertake weekly -anything goes

clean and tidy

Oh my god im wondering just how my craft room got so untidy, ive been in there so much the last few weeks but had no time to tidy as i was going along so today was the day to tackle the mess. Ive spent a couple of hours throwing tiny scraps out, sorting card stock into colour family and sorting out all my patterned papers inks are all put away in their right full places and generally its looking some what clean and tidy. the reorganisation and tidiness prompted me to make a card ive made a thank you card this is to go in my emergency stock card box.
The flag was made from east of india ribbon, the sentiment is MME and the magnolia image was coloured with promarkers.
Im entering this in the following challenge cupcake inspirations
